5 days til...

the wedding - wahoo!

some random wedding related thoughts:

1) Nobody changes for you for your wedding. If they're cool before, they'll probably be cool during. If they're a thick-headed, tacky, bitch, they will be the same during. Its inevitable. Don't expect people to change for you. Why should they change? They're who they are! If you're lucky, some nice people will show how nice they are and your soul will feel warm and gooey that you know such generous selfless folks.

2) Take a break to do things for yourself. Whether its a ten minute drive or walk, a nap, a cool shower, take time for yourself.

3) Delegate, delegate, delegate. ANYTHING you can give someone else to do who are willing to, do it. Recognize the good intentions of people trying to help you no matter the final result (if you can). Don't expect it to be as "perfect" as it would be if you did it.

4) Less than a week til the wedding, most likely, there will be things that seemed SUPER important 2 weeks ago really doesn't seem so pressing. You will totally be forced to prioritize. And if your priest is good, he will remind you that this is a celebration of marriage, and not just an overwhelming, stressful one day event.
